One of them, Mauro Fiore's cinematography award, was questioned even by a key player on "Avatar" since about 70% of the film was animated and computer generated. 
Ironic that cinematography and the obvious art direction and visual effects awards were all the movie got out of nine nominations, apparently scaring off the humongous actors branch that generally lives in fear of the performance capture technology the film employs.

Ditto Zac Efron and Miley Cyrus , although the latter did win a Golden Globe last year for best song.
